JOURNEY INTO SOUND In my youth Aotearoa (New Zealand) offered little that was homegrown to shout about. A few indy bands (The Knobz, Blam Blam Blam, Pop Mechanix, Dave McArtney and his Flamingoes) and a few Split Enz tracks (Dirty Creature, Giant Heartbeat and much of Waiata).
